Senior Pictures

I went to a community park with Nathan yesterday and we had a blast taking senior pictures to mark his upcoming graduation. He was really easy-going about getting his pictures taken and was a lot of fun to work with. This guy has a great personality and I think we got some great pictures too!!! I have a lot of favorite pictures from the session, but these are at the top of my list...

Nathan and family, I hope you enjoy these! Thanks again!

The next two pictures have a little back-story behind them. After Nathan put his race gear on for his pictures we starting walking for a place to shoot and Leah (who was also with us) said, "How about, by that 5mph speed limit sign?" Of course, we all started laughing and I said, "Let's do it!" I was laughing so hard I could barely take the pictures.

Because of the fun we had with the speed limit sign, I had to have a little Photoshop fun with it too. Here is "Nate Dawg" appearing in his own comic book...

Leah was babysitting her friend's little girl that day so I got to snap a couple pictures of this cutie pie too!!! Here's little smiley Miley! Look at those gorgeous eyes!

Beautiful Ballerinas

Rachel and Sarah performed in their yearly dance recital last night (which I might add, is a professional production and is absolutely amazing!) and I was asked to take pictures of them during the evening. I am going to take pictures of them sometime soon at the IMA in their dance costumes too, but their mom wanted a few pictures from the actual night of the recital as well. (I'm so excited to take pictures of them at the IMA!!! They will be stunning in their ballet costumes on the grounds of the museum. Can't wait for that!) The location of their recital was beautiful with marble staircases and the setting seemed lend itself to a nice sepia effect on the pictures so I edited an additional image with the sepia effect on most of the pictures.

Rachel and Sarah, your dancing AND your pictures were spectacular!! Wish we had more time to snap pictures, but I'll see you again soon for that!

This recital also marked a special milestone for Rachel as it was her 10th year with this dance company. To celebrate the milestone, I was asked to create a "congratulations" ad for the recital program. You can see my design below.
